Education for former street children

CHILDREN NEED SUPPORT, POOR CHILDREN EVEN MORE!
IAfrika hilft Straßenkindern aus ihrer größten Not. Die Organisation betreibt ein Kinderheim, ein Transition House und eine Schule für die Klassen 1-8. Die Schule wird sowohl von I.Afrika Kindern als auch von Kindern aus den umliegenden Ortschaften besucht.

The external children pay a school fee and this is also done for some of the I.Africa children. However, 50 children are currently lacking a scholarship. Support a child with your donation and lay the foundation for a future!

Children from the street in Nairobi and the poorer surrounding areas

This project is about covering the children's school fees.

  • One year of school attendance - but ideally until the school-leaving certificate is obtained.
  • Possible e-mail communication within the sponsorship
  • Further development for the child in familiar surroundings
  • Close and coordinated support of the children in school and in everyday life through team coordination in the IAfrika Center and the adjacent school

The children...

  4. is strengthened in its self-efficacy and motivation.
  5. has an increased interest in learning and experiencing new things.
  6. shares his experiences with other affected children.

IN ACTION

DROUGHT AND SEASONAL FLOODING IN KENYA

In Kenya, the last three rainy seasons have been below average, threatening hundreds of thousands of people and killing wildlife. Every year, Kenya is threatened by drought and floods, and it is due to climate change that drought and seasonal floods are becoming more frequent.

CLIMATE AND NATURE PROTECTION

About 80% of Kenya's land area is prone to drought. The southeast and some coastal areas of the country had the lowest rainfall since 1981.

Education and future

The Kenyan education system in its current form has existed since 1984. The education system is divided into eight years of compulsory schooling, four years of secondary education and two to eight years of higher education.

INTEGRATION AND TOLERANCE

Kenya became independent on 12 December 1963 and the country's first president was Uhuru Kenyatta.
